Shetland Charitable Trust (SCT) is offering £136,000 in extra grant money to large local charitable organisations.
Expressions of interest can be made now for a share of the funds. Those who meet the basic criteria will progress to a Stage 2 application, which requires more detail.
Organisations can apply for funding to cover up to three years, which is when SCT’s financial strategy for 2025-2030 ends.
The closing date for submitting an expression of interest is noon on Friday 21st August.
The pot of £136,000 is in addition to the £10 million a year already allocated to support more than 30 community services under the Large Grant Scheme 2027/28. All SCT’s grant awards are geared towards improving life in Shetland.
SCT has four key quality of life goals: community wellbeing, individual wellbeing, everyone matters and generational fairness. Those applying for funds are required to contribute to at least one of these goals.
Full details and forms are available from the Apply for Funding section of the SCT website or by email from grants@shetlandcharitabletrust.co.uk
